Zen Oasis

Inspired by the organic lifestyle that my client, Amelia Allen, revolves her life around, this loft condo was designed to be both an oasis for Zen and tranquil living as well as an inviting space for Amelia and her three children. Not only is this downtown location surrounded with natures beauty and the city’s parks, it also has some of the most astonishing architectural buildings that inspire my client and motivate her career. The character in the architecture contrasts well with the minimal and natural appeal in the interior. The material choices were inspired by the organic and natural lifestyle that my client lives by. The natural textures and colours conjure images of ones love for the outdoors and holistic living further emphasizing their passions. The floor plan allows for immense natural light and an open concept living, dining and kitchen area making cooking that much more enjoyable. For more desired viewing of the city’s parks, and a more freeing location to practice yoga, they can step out onto the large balcony that surrounds the north and east walls of the condo. The minimal colour choices and furniture pieces encourage the body to tap into its Zen mindset.
